Back at the ranch for dinner. A great chance to ask the staff for recommendations and get oriented for the days ahead.

After the hike, a well-earned lunch at the Osprey CafΓ©. Enjoy the brilliant turquoise water and the lakeshore (easy 30 min flat walk).

Short forest walk (20 min return) to a dramatic river canyon. In late summer, watch sockeye salmon leaping upstream. Bears are frequently seen in the area.

Afternoon
Ray Farm

Walk through the historic pioneer homestead and orchard (30 min, mostly flat). Interpretive signs explain early settler life in the Clearwater Valley.

Evening
Sunset at Helmcken Falls (Optional)

If energy allows, a quick return to Helmcken Falls for golden-hour light on the falls is worth it. Short walk (5 min) to the main viewpoint.
